What do you do at TBL Accountants?
I mostly complete statutory audits, independent examination and other types of assurance work alongside the preparation of year end statutory accounts.
When did you join TBL Accountants?
I joined TBL in May 2017.
Where did you work before TBL Accountants?
Previous to joining TBL I worked for Simpson Wreford LLP in Woolwich, who I joined after finishing university in 2015.
What is your one top financial tip for local businesses?
Keep your financial information current and organised – it’s much easier to reliably plan for the future when you have a good handle on the present.
Where are you based?
I am based in our Southend office.
What is your favourite thing about Southend?
As a keen cyclist I am a big fan of the long flat road all the way along the seafront – no better place to cruise along when the sun is shining (and plenty of places to stop for coffee and ice cream!).
What is on your bucket list?
I’d love to be able to cycle some of the famous mountain passes of France and Italy, and take the opportunity to visit some vineyards and restaurants while I’m out there!
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
As I have been in scouting my whole life I think a good piece of advice is “Be Prepared”, the motto of the movement. I don’t only see this in terms of being organised and equipped for whatever happens, but also being prepared to grasp opportunities and new experiences and seeing where they take you!
